Skills

Some skills I developed through courses and my internship experiences.

Oral & Written Communication

I learned oral and written communication in the fields of statistics and actuarial science in one of my courses(MTHEL 300). With emphasis on the public presentation of technical knowledge, the ability to give and receive constructive feedback, and communication in a collaborative environment, this course helps me develop proficiencies in critical workplace skills. I prepared reports in my experience as a marketing intern and an audit assistant.

Data Analysis

I learned this through many statistics courses. I learned modeling the relationship between a response variable and several explanatory variables (an output-input system) via regression models, least squares algorithm for estimation of parameters, hypothesis testing and prediction, model diagnostics and improvement, algorithms for variable selection, nonlinear regression and other methods. I also learned data visualization and forecasting. I am familiar with the use of R Studio.

Time Management

I am good at time management. All my internships were finished perfectly in my study terms. I managed the work and study well. I am skilled in prioritizing and completing assignments in timely manner, with accuracy and attention to detail.

Lifelong Learning

Learning is a lifelong affair. I love learning new things. I force myself to learn or try something new every year. Learning something new will make me feel better and more valuable.
